Awesome vid. My one critique would have been to pull out some opacity on the music graphics.

2:37 even though I grew up with Zimmer, this gives so many chills 4:46 as well, just awesome Superman’s theme is great between both composers..it speaks hope and motivation beyond your imagination

John Williams describe Superman *"From Our Eyes/prespective"* hero that saves everybody and the day Hans Zimmer describe Superman *"From Superman's Prespective"* the things he had to endure, learn to control yet not let emotion be in the way, the hardship of being accepted by Human etc

Would be interesting to see a triple feature of the horror genre, Werewolf By Night, Dracula, Lilith, Son and daughter of Satan, Man Thing have them in two feature length episodes each for Halloween for the next four years.

The funny thing about this is that (like Dune and TOTO's music) I think Zimmer distanced himself from Williams's score, so that he didn't feel compelled to sneak the main theme in there. Both themes are great and I love both personally.

There's only one real Superman Theme and that's John Williams. Throw Zimmer in the trash, it was, is and will never be needed in a Superman movie. John Williams is the only theme you need. and Kryptonite isn't Superman's greatest weakness it's that he wants to save everyone, he cares. People who make Superman movies forget that. Look at Superman 2 in the fight with Zod and his co-horts in metropolis. Superman was winning until they targeted the civilians, Zod even says it in the film "This Superman is nothing of the kind. You see, I've discovered his weakness. He cares. He actually cares for these Earth people." (Zod. Superman 2).

I really love both, John William’s Superman theme is EPIC, but Hanz Zimmer’s “Flight” gets me every time! Put that together with Henry Cavill’s interpretation of the scene, it’s just MAGNIFICENT! 🥹💙❤️

My interest in film scores began with Hans Zimmer's "Flight." It is a love letter to the character and brings a majestic, otherworldly feel. John Williams's score is a beautiful melody that I believe is recognized by everyone on this planet at this point, and I sure hope people think the same of Hans Zimmer.

John Williams = GOAT PERIOD!

I honestly think that the two versions of the same story says more about us then it does the Character of Superman. This age (the 2020s) is depressing and self obsessed, darker than any other time in my life. There is a sorrow... in this time, like we have lost and are in decline. The beginning ... the ancient civilization of Krypton, the sense of loss in the music is profound. You can understand where a civilization and culture is by the stories it tells itself. We are in our decline. Superman lives and dies in just two movies. The music of John Williams was and is thrilling and joyful, exciting. Fun movie, youthful .. a time when we were, as a nation and culture, at the pinnacle of our progress, hope and optimism. These two movies gives us insight to what is happening within our own culture... the 1960s- 80s were a period of turning outward. Now this generation is turned inwards.

Shame this franchise went down hill so quickly. Man of Steel was incredible but it never got better.

Well done. I had thought this was a film score. Giving it a measured pace is powerful. I love gentle moving scores that are embellished by a slower pace. I doubt this would be a main title more like a cue within a film score.

john williams score is more superman than any of the actors. It is superman. Zimmer sets atmopshere, Willams creates one of the greatest leitmotifs ever made effectively embodying superman at the highest level.

Zimmer have a most powerfull and Epic sound, but williams still the best

John Williams theme portrays Superman as a true American hero who can do no wrong while Han Zimmer captures the POWER that is the kryoptonian Kal El
